Made to Die by Kamy Chetty

Made to Die (Blood Ties, #1)

Reviewed by Desere

A young woman comes home to find closure and say goodbye to the sister she was made to save, but that is not all she finds, she discovers a program for organ trafficking to a mass body dump. What exactly has Cedar Falls become while she was gone and what has her mother and her sister's husband, Troy, have to do with it all.

It's a riddle she never expected but one that she for darn sure cannot ignore, because she will have to fight for her life if she does not she will simply be another young woman who steps into the shadows of death.

Kamy Chetty has crafted a very fast paced action thriller, that kept me up all hours of the night and had me on the edge of my seat.

And with quite the interesting ending, that I only half way saw coming, so yes it definitely shook me off my little thriller chair.

I recommend this read for fans that love gripping, on the edge of your seat , unexpected glances at the world of organ trafficking reads.

Songs of the Maniacs by Mickey J Corrigan

Songs of the Maniacs

Maniac! It's a word no one wants to be called nor it is ever associated with anything nice.

In this read the author explores that very deep dark side all of us has and ultimately fears will bubble to the top one day.

We meet a troubled young woman and the deeply disturbed clients she meets with at a mental health institute, all the while trying to cope with her own heightening concerns, which includes consciousness lapses, violent memories of a high school sexual relationship , a menacing stalker and an annoyingly arousing visitor who may or may not be insane.
So clearly as you can see from the above , this book is one of those really spine chilling , man oh man how did heck that this just happen , and what the heck did she just do, kind of reads.

It certainly had me thinking more than once about the what if's should I ever start having the unspeakable and truly very disturbing experiences that this poor gal has to go through.

And darn you Mickey ! Every time I thought I had it all figured out the author who add another layer of darkness and throw me right back to starting again trying to pull it together, frustrating but really brilliant touch !

I will add that this author has a very almost too twisted manner with her writing, she can make you feel dirty and sweet at the same time and she can make you feel like you are inside the complete wrong book yet you find you can't leave, you have to reach the end to see it all come to an end, wish I adore , but of course for some readers that simply just won't work, and thus when reading this book you might want to make sure you are able to handle a very gutsy novel.

Songs of the Maniacs is a very intense, twisted read, that after completion will haunt you for days! But if like myself you are a reader that likes entering the world of the wicked and profoundly very much out there , then this read is perfect.
